Data Engineer ( ETL DataStage) Location Atlanta, GA (Hybrid/Onsite Mon, Wed, Thur 9am to 6pm EST) Job Description:
ETL DataStage Engineer (Python / Snowflake / Cloud) Position Summary Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain ETL workflows using IBM InfoSphere DataStage. Write and optimize Python scripts for data manipulation, automation, and orchestration. Implement data pipelines and integrations with Snowflake (schema design, query optimization, transformation). Modernize legacy ETL workflows into cloud-native services (AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Databricks). Collaborate with business analysts, architects, and stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data solutions. Ensure data quality, governance, and compliance across all platforms. Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipelines for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. Maintain clear documentation for workflows, processes, and technical solutions. Required Qualifications
Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience). 7 9 years of ETL development with proven expertise in IBM DataStage. 7 9 years of Strong proficiency in Python for automation, data processing, and integration tasks. 7 years of experience Advanced SQL skills for complex data transformations and performance tuning. 7 years of experience Solid experience in data modeling (star/snowflake schema, dimensional modeling). 7 years of experience Hands-on experience with Snowflake (SnowSQL, performance tuning, data sharing). 7 years of experience Cloud data engineering experience with AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift, Lambda) or Azure (Data Factory, Synapse, Databricks). 7 years of Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD deployment processes. Good To have Skills
Exposure to big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka). Experience with Airflow or other workflow/orchestration tools. Knowledge of containerization and cloud-native architectures (Docker, Kubernetes). Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
