Serving food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests. Setting tables according to type of event and service standards. Answering questions on menu selections. Communicating with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, re-cook orders, and product availability. Communicating additional meal requirements, allergies, dietary needs, and special requests to the kitchen. Recording transactions in the MICROS system at the time of order. Checking in with guests to ensure satisfaction with each food course and/or beverages. Maintaining cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc., throughout the day. Completing closing duties, including restocking items, turning off lights, etc. Presenting physical and accurate check to guest and processing payment. Following all company and safety and security policies and procedures; reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; and completing safety training and certifications. Ensuring uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information, and protecting company assets. Welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing guests' service needs, assisting individuals with disabilities, and thanking guests with genuine appreciation. Speaking with others using clear and professional language. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with others, supporting team to reach common goals, and listening and responding appropriately to the concerns of other employees. Ensuring adherence to quality expectations and standards. Reading and visually verifying information in a variety of formats (e.g., small print). Standing, sitting, or walking for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift. Moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds with assistance. Grasping, turning, and manipulating objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination. Moving over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps. Reaching overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping. Performing other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors. Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent, at least 1 year of related work experience, and no supervisory experience. The pay range for this position is $14.00 to $15.50 per hour plus tips.
