Description
Administer Medications Safely and Accurately
Dispense oral, topical, and certain prescribed medications to residents in accordance with physicians' orders and under the supervision of licensed nursing staff, while ensuring proper documentation of each dose. Monitor Resident Responses to Medications
Observe and report any changes in residents' physical or emotional condition, including potential side effects or adverse reactions to medications, to licensed nurses promptly. Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
Provide direct care assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, toileting, and feeding to ensure residents maintain comfort and dignity. Support Certified Nurse Aides and Nursing Staff
Collaborate with CNAs and nurses to support overall resident care by assisting with lifting, turning, transporting, and responding to call lights as needed. Maintain Accurate Records and Documentation
Complete required medication administration records (MARs) and care documentation accurately and in a timely manner, following facility protocols and state regulations. Ensure Cleanliness and Organization
Maintain a clean and orderly medication cart, storage area, and resident care areas, ensuring supplies are stocked and expired medications are properly disposed of. Follow Infection Control and Safety Protocols
Adhere to facility policies on infection control, proper hand hygiene, and safety practices to protect residents and staff. Promote Resident Dignity and Respect
Interact with residents in a respectful, compassionate, and professional manner, ensuring their privacy, choices, and individual needs are honored. Participate in Ongoing Training and Development
Attend in-service training sessions, continuing education opportunities, and staff meetings to stay current with healthcare practices and state guidelines. Qualifications
