Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: Under general supervision, this position is responsible for delivering high-quality instruction to students, ensuring they gain proficiency in the skills covered in assigned courses. Maintain an organized and conducive learning environment. And ensure that all students are engaged and actively participating in the learning process. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver safe, engaging and effective instruction related to heavy equipment operation. Develop, update, and maintain curriculum materials, lesson plans, and course content to meet learning objectives and industry standards. Foster a positive learning environment Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and performance. Prepare and submit required reports and documentation. Assist in the development of customized training programs as needed. Submit and verify all hours worked weekly Complete all other duties and responsibilities as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS: Certified and/or licensed in operation of relevant heavy equipment. Where certification or licensure is not relevant, documentation of past training and successful operation Excellent communication, instructional, and classroom management skills. Strong organizational skills, patience, and a passion for teaching and helping students succeed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain complex concepts in an easy-to-understand manner Ability to engage and motivate participants from diverse backgrounds Knowledgeable and productive in core competencies of heavy equipment operations Must possess a thorough understanding of equipment, settings, etc. Must be able to operate heavy equipment in a safe and appropriate manner. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position requires an ability to sit, stand, walk, bend, reach up, stoop ability to participate in physical activities related to teaching, the ability to lift an object of fifty (50) pounds or less, and carry items in excess of fifty (50) pounds. It also requires manual dexterity to operate technology and equipment as necessary. Pay range starts at $25.82/hour | All salary calculations start at the minimum salary and will be based on the candidate's education and experience| Open until filled.
