Overview
Pratt Institute seeks a creative and strategic Director of Annual Giving (Director) to oversee and expand a robust annual giving program, focused on the growth of direct mail, e-philanthropy, student calling, annual campaigns, and active portfolio management of leadership annual giving prospects. The Director will develop and execute strategies for increasing donor renewals while leading the acquisition of new alumni, parent, family, and friend annual fund donors. The ideal candidate will drive pipeline development and discovery work to target, secure, and retain annual giving prospects while leading moves management to migrate prospects to the leadership annual and major gifts level. The Director will manage the strategy and operations for the annual giving program, including Pratts calendar of annual giving activities and touchpoints, giving days, giving societies, and special alumni giving programs. The successful candidate will report to the Assistant Vice President of Institutional Advancement, and will lead a team with the opportunity to hire additional staff in the future. Oversee and expand a robust annual giving program, including direct mail, e-philanthropy, student calling, annual campaigns, and portfolio management of leadership annual giving prospects. Develop and execute strategies to increase donor renewals and acquire new alumni, parent, family, and friend annual fund donors. Drive pipeline development and discovery work to target, secure, and retain annual giving prospects; lead moves management to migrate prospects to leadership annual and major gifts levels. Manage the strategy and operations for the annual giving program, including the calendar of annual giving activities and touchpoints, giving days, giving societies, and special alumni giving programs. Engage and solicit support from defined and non-defined constituencies. Create and carry a portfolio of alumni, family, and friend prospects with capacity for annual gifts of $10,000 to $25,000 while supporting their teams portfolios. Lead a team of two direct reports with potential for future growth; build and structure portfolios for annual and leadership annual giving prospects. Qualifications
Proven ability to engage and solicit support from diverse constituencies. Experience in managing annual giving programs and moves management to leadership annual and major gifts. Strong portfolio development and donor renewals strategy experience. Ability to lead and develop a small team and collaborate with cross-functional partners. Experience with direct mail, e-philanthropy, and campus fundraising activities is preferred. Excellent communication, planning, and data-driven decision-making skills. Employment details
