Job Summary:

Duties/About the role:

Defines customer needs in technical and business contexts. Ensure the proposed technical and business solutions meet the customer's objectives for the work effort.

50% Elicit and document user requirements to meet a business objective. Identify and validate requirements and organize the information into a logical document that is understood by the customer and Information Systems.

25% Guide both technical and customer departments in the development of the systems that support the business solution.

15% Ensure the accurate deployment of solutions through review of problem logs, assisting with test plans and test matrices, and other analysis activities.

10% Validate the business need for solutions to business problems and process improvements.

Day to Day : This role will support the T5 project:

Primary responsible for defining and documenting system business requirements.

Work directly with clients to understand the individual needs of the business.

Perform research and analysis in order to come up with solutions to business problems and help to introduce these solutions to businesses and their clients.

Knowledge of when and what to delegate is essential in order to balance multiple high-priority tasks.

Fast paced, multi-platformed environment which may require action and response 24X7 to support the technical business needs of the customer.

Team Info:

Team is responsible for capturing and defining all business requirements for PGBA applications. The team has 6 key performers, all responsible for capturing understanding for our customers.

Whether it's new functionality or enhancements to our current system, or resolving a defect, we are responsible to translating that into requirements our developers can use to deliver the resolve.

Job Requirements:

Required Skills and Abilities:

Basic knowledge of standard industry practices.

Able to acquire knowledge of procedures for the supported business unit.

Able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences, including the ability to express complex technical and business concepts to management, peers, and the business units.

Good teamwork and interpersonal skills.

Understands how IT affects an organization and is able to link it to business processes.

Good analytical and conceptual skills.

Broad understanding of test plans and test matrices, project plans, and scope and design documents.

Required Software and Tools (Hands on experience required):

Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) - Azure Boards

Required Experience :

2 years of IT business analysis experience

Required EDU:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other job related field. or 4 years of job related work experience or 2 years of job related experience plus an associate's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or other job related degree

Preferred Education:

Bachelor's degree-in Computer Science, Business Administration, or other job related field. or 4 years of job related experience with government business.

Preferred Work Experience :

Job related experience with government business.

Preferred Licenses and Certificates:

Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), HIPAA, LOMA.

Soft skills:

Strong Communications Skills

Adaptable to fast-paced environment

Work with minimal supervision

Ability to learn quickly and analysis the data

Preferred Software and Other Tools:

Visio, MS Project or similar software, data mining using DB2, SQL, and/or other tools
