As a buyer at CNH Industrial, you will support a wide range of procurement and sourcing activities for assigned commodities, with a focus on daily purchasing operations, supplier communication, and system accuracy. You will collaborate cross-functionally to ensure supply continuity, manage purchase orders, and support data tracking and reporting. Tariff tracking and mitigation support will be part of your responsibilities. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, analytical professional starting their career in procurement and looking to grow within a global manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities
Analyze and evaluate external price trends and new product offerings to reduce overall purchasing costs. Collaborate with suppliers to assure quality of products, materials, components and/or operations and develop supply recommendations. Ensure suppliers can meet forecasted demand. May coordinate efforts in reducing purchasing/engineering costs and establishing costs for new products. May participate in design and/or technical reviews. May select, recommend and manage relationships with major suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors to ensure satisfactory service. Other related duties as assigned.
Experience Required
A bachelors degree in business, Supply Chain or related field along with a minimum of 5 years of purchasing experience. Ability to travel up to 20% - domestic and international (majority domestic).
Preferred Qualifications
Intermediate level of proficiency in Excel (including pivot tables and V-lookups). Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills, and computer skills. Strong ability to work as part of a team within Purchasing and with locations worldwide. Knowledge/experience of raw material analysis and tracking systems. Experience in analyzing, selecting/recommending, approving, and auditing suppliers for different product platforms within a multi-plant manufacturing environment. Strong negotiation background with knowledge of corporate purchasing practices and strategies that close long-term agreements aligned with organizational goals. Experience developing and implementing commodity strategies. Proven experience mitigating supplier delivery, cost, and relationship issues with positive outcomes. Ability to facilitate and lead technical and commercial meetings with cross-functional participants.
