As a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, you will apply extensive experience in machine learning and data science to drive innovation and performance at Constellation. You will contribute to the design and deployment of advanced AI systems that meet high compliance and precision standards, work with complex datasets, develop sophisticated ML models, and make architectural decisions to optimize performance at scale. You will also mentor team members, guide project directions, and enhance our platforms functionality and quality. Collaborate with product teams and data specialists to architect and build advanced generative AI systems optimized for regulated industries. Drive Agentic AI capabilities: build agent-based systems that reason, retrieve, validate, and act autonomously, supporting prompt chaining, tool usage, and evaluation feedback loops. Lead setup and management of infrastructure for diverse OSS AI models, ensuring scalability and production-readiness. Design, implement, and maintain efficient ETL processes with Data Engineering to optimize data pipelines for real-time ML applications. Innovate and recommend solutions to enhance Constellations technology portfolio, focusing on explainable and ethical AI frameworks that meet regulatory requirements. Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables in line with rapid growth objectives. Maintain and manage code within a Git repository, following best practices for version control and documentation. Mentor and guide the Data Team, fostering professional growth and alignment with high standards for impactful, high-quality work. Job Requirements:

7+ years of experience in machine learning, data science, or data engineering roles, with deep expertise in TensorFlow and PyTorch. Proficient in ML platforms such as Dataiku, SageMaker, and MLFlow, with experience deploying large-scale models in production. Strong NLP knowledge, including embeddings, encoders, NER, and topic modeling; experience fine-tuning transformer models and using Hugging Face is preferred. Excellent Python and SQL skills with experience handling large datasets and complex data models. Experience with AWS services (Lambda, EC2, Glue, SageMaker) and scalable ML infrastructure. Deep learning expertise, especially in fine-tuning LLMs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG); familiarity with vector databases like Pinecone or Weaviate is a plus. Familiarity with graph databases (e.g., Neo4j) and applying these to compliance-focused AI use cases. Strong technical documentation and communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders. Interest in compliance and regulatory frameworks (GDPR, HIPAA or similar) is highly desirable. The total compensation package includes base salary, equity, and benefits. New York Pay Range: $165,000 - $185,000 #J-18808-Ljbffr
