PET/CT technologists

use exceptional communication skills to connect with patients, explain the procedure, and put them at ease. With a caring attitude and keen attention to detail, they ensure patient comfort, safety, and satisfaction every step of the way. They demonstrate their technical competence by effectively interpreting physician orders and selecting appropriate software options and imaging parameters to produce high-quality PET/CT images, enabling physicians to diagnose accurately and treat confidently. Working in various environmentsoutpatient centers, mobile units, or hospitalsour technologists provide the best imaging care at any access point. Specific duties include, but are not limited to: Ensuring patient safety through pre-screening, aseptic injection techniques, and radiation safety compliance, including proper documentation when handling radioactive materials. Producing high-quality diagnostic images. Communicating effectively with patients, radiologists, and team members. Training new technologists and/or supporting staff. Troubleshooting scanner, coach, and peripheral equipment issues.

Position Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent; Associates Degree or higher preferred. Certification in Nuclear Medicine (NMTCB or ARRT N) required. State license, as applicable. CPR certification. 1-2 years experience in Nuclear Medicine procedures preferred. Ability to work at multiple locations. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. Basic computer skills. Local travel may be required. COVID-19 vaccination may be required. Successful completion of pre-employment background check and drug screening.

Physical Requirements: May be exposed to outside weather during patient transport on mobile units. Exposure to radioactive isotopes, ionizing radiation, blood, body fluids, and infectious diseases. More than 50% of the time: sit, stand, walk; repetitive hand/arm/leg movements; communication with patients. Less than 50% of the time: stooping, kneeling, crawling, climbing, balancing, lifting/moving patients.
