Johns Manville is hiring Industrial Maintenance Mechanic(s) at our Penbryn, NJ plant. We seek dependable, responsible, quality-minded individuals with a history of working safely in a manufacturing environment. Responsibilities

This role conducts problem solving and troubleshooting to develop corrective actions to repair and maintain electrical, mechanical, and facility-related functions, equipment, systems, buildings and/or physical structures. Work is performed from general instructions from plant management and across the organization to support Johns Manville core values: People, Passion, Performance, and Protection. The Maintenance Mechanic reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is supervised by the Plant Engineer. We follow the DuPont Schedule, with 12-hour shifts over a 28-day cycle described as follows: four-night shifts, three days off; three-day shifts, one day off; three-night shifts, three days off; four-day shifts, then seven days off. What You Bring to the Team

High school diploma or GED Minimum of 5 years of verified experience as an industrial maintenance mechanic Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals and drawings Ability to write routine reports and correspondence Computer skills (Microsoft Office) Experience with machine safety Experience with lockout/tagout Lift truck operations (JLG, etc.) and ability to obtain a license Your Day to Day

Be an active participant in the safety process and practice safe work habits at all times Perform mechanical preventative maintenance according to an established schedule on all equipment; inspect, lubricate, adjust or repair as needed; take faulty equipment out of operation until repaired Troubleshoot mechanical equipment to identify issues and take corrective actions to repair, replace or rebuild Maintain an open, candid working relationship with coworkers and supervisors Read, interpret and follow blueprints and sketches; make measurements and calculations as needed Prepare work orders, requisitions, inspection reports, time distribution, material usage, etc., and maintain records electronically (SAP) Inspect/maintain plant buildings; may cast concrete forms and bollards as needed Operate mobile equipment as required During cleanouts and emergencies, work with maintenance staff to restore equipment to operation quickly Maintain necessary tools and use them proficiently Wear required personal protective equipment Keep work area clean and orderly Complete all training assignments Perform other related duties as directed including duties of lower classifications Performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor Physical Demands

Regular standing and walking; occasional sitting; manual dexterity; frequent repetitive motions. Frequently lift, push or pull 50 pounds and occasionally lift/move up to 100 pounds with assistance. Visual acuity required for working around machinery (close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception). Work Environment

Industrial manufacturing setting with heavy machinery, industrial ovens and mobile equipment. Environment may be hot, humid, cold, dusty, or noisy. Some areas may contain airborne particles; PPE is required (steel-toed shoes, ear protection, eye protection, gloves, hard hat, respirator where needed). Please Keep in Mind
