The role focuses on elevating end-user technology experience across a dynamic, globally distributed enterprise environment. You will be hands-on, with deep expertise in Microsoft Intune and a history of executing endpoint management strategies at scale (10,000 - 20,000+ devices). This is a hybrid Charlotte-based position aimed at optimizing device performance and user experience across Windows, macOS, tablets, and smartphones, leveraging a modern ecosystem including Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager (MECM), Deployment Toolkit (MDT), Apple Business Manager (ABM), and Apple Device Enrollment (ADE), while working with leading hardware solutions from Microsoft, Dell, and Apple. You will collaborate cross-functionally to deliver scalable, innovative results and drive enterprise IT modernization initiatives. Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and manage end-user technology solutions across PCs, MacBooks, Tablets, and Smartphones. Utilize enterprise tools such as Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Microsoft Desktop Toolkit, and Apple Business Manager. Engineer the implementation of applications and provide ongoing support using enterprise tools within the hardware technologies delivered. Provide comprehensive, documented information to support technical solutions (enterprise solution engineering). Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Service Desk, Tier 2 Support Technicians, CyberSecurity, and other functions to ensure efficient technical support and implementation. Develop and maintain technical documentation, standard operating procedures, and architectural diagrams. Engage with end users to understand business needs and deliver solutions within company standards and technology portfolio. Manage all components of application packaging, including reverse engineering existing packages to meet standards and evolving business needs. Support virtual solutions such as Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) and Windows 365. Navigate and implement enterprise security models using EPM, PAS, PIM, and RBAC designs. Participate in mergers and acquisitions, engaging with consultants and vendors to support divestiture and fold-in actions. Manage incidents and problem management to prevent issues and support current state operations. Stay current with supported technologies and processes to proactively map changes supporting technical solutions. Support a large, publicly traded, global enterprise with on-call 24/7 coverage for critical issues. Ensure compliance with organizational standards and security policies. Project Experience Requirements
Leading enterprise-wide Windows 11 upgrade programs using Microsoft Intune, including strategy development, deployment execution, and post-implementation support. Designing and managing OS patching frameworks using Intune, ensuring compliance, automation, and global scalability. Creating and deploying complex device profiles (e.g., kiosk mode) through Intune AutoPilot for diverse global use cases. Building and maintaining custom dashboards using Azure Monitor and Microsoft Graph to support IT Operations documentation and alignment with ITSM CSI models. Driving comprehensive migration from legacy Active Directory Group Policy and MECM configurations to Microsoft Intune, focusing on compliance controls, configuration standardization, and enterprise-wide reporting. Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in information technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience. Proven experience in end-user technology management, particularly with Microsoft and Dell products. Strong proficiency with MS Intune, MECM, MS MDT, Apple ABM, and Apple ADE. Extensive experience in Tier 3 engineering roles, focusing on enterprise solution engineering. Excellent documentation skills with the ability to create detailed technical documents and architectural diagrams. Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with Enterprise Architects, Helpdesk, Service Desk, Tier 2 Support Technicians, CyberSecurity, and other teams. Proactive problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to empathize with end-users and act as a business solutions analyst. Expertise in managing all components of application packaging, including reverse engineering for repackaging to company standards. Experience supporting virtual solutions like Windows 365 and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD). Familiarity with enterprise security models (EPM, PAS, PIM) and RBAC designs. Experience participating in Mergers & Acquisitions and coordinating with consultants and vendors on related actions. Willingness and ability to be on call 24/7 for a global enterprise. Experience in scripting and automation, particularly with PowerShell or similar tools. Understanding of cybersecurity principles and best practices.
