Senior DevSecOps Architect
LMI is seeking a Senior DevSecOps Architect that can design and architect secure CI/CD processes, recommend build automation approaches and tools, and understand security requirements early in the development lifecycle to help deliver capabilities reliably and quickly, while keeping risk in check. Core Mission: Lead and architect secure, resilient CI/CD processes driving innovative, rapid, and reliable capability delivery for Navy mission systemsintegrating cybersecurity, Cloud/Zero Trust, and agile methodologies throughout the lifecycle. Responsibilities: Architect modern DevSecOps pipelines and platforms using leading-edge automation, containerization, orchestration, and IaC practices tailored for Navy applications. Recommend Zero Trust principles, automated security controls, and continuous compliance into all phases of development, deployment, and operations for PEO MLB portfolios. Recommend and identify secure multi-cloud and hybrid architectures (AWS, Azure, Neptune, OpenStack, etc.) and cloud-native tools to maximize operational resilience, cost savings, and Navy cloud policy alignment. Drive proactive risk identification, vulnerability management, NIST, DoD, and Navy RMF compliance throughout DevSecOps activities. Champion Security Assessment & Authorization, supply chain risk mitigation, and technical debt reduction. Lead multi-functional technical teams, mentor Navy and partner staff in DevSecOps, Agile, Cloud, and security practices. Foster a culture of innovation, adaptive learning, and continuous improvement. Translate mission requirements into technical strategy. Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to senior leadership, business owners, and engineering staff. Collaborate with Navy software factory/SMIO teams to implement enterprise-wide solutions. Research, pilot, and institutionalize advanced technologies (AI/ML, data analytics, cyber automation) that drive PEO MLB objectives for modernization and digital transformation. Qualifications
Qualifications: Required: U.S. Citizenship, and ability to obtain/maintain required security clearance (Active Secret highly preferred). Bachelor's (Master's preferred) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related relevant discipline. 10+ years progressive experience in DevSecOps, including 3+ years leading secure architecture in large-scale, mission-critical environmentspreferably within DoD/Navy. Deep expertise in modern DevSecOps stacks: CI/CD, automation, Kubernetes, IaC, containerization, monitoring, and security toolchains (e.g., GitLab, Jenkins, SonarQube, Ansible). Hands-on knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Neptune, VMware/OpenStack hybrid), and implementing secure, multi-cloud solutions. Proven success with software factory or enterprise DevSecOps initiatives, driving compliance, innovation, and modernization. Expert understanding of Navy/DoD cybersecurity frameworks, Zero Trust architecture, RMF, NIST 800-53, and mission system hardening. Desired: Demonstrated experience architecting solutions for SAP (S/4 HANA, ECC), ERP, or large-scale business systems in a Navy or DoD environment. Current Active Secret Clearance Active engagement in Navy modernization programs, R&D, or pilot projects. Graduate degree with focus on security, cloud, or enterprise architectures. Target salary range: $160,000.00 - 200,000. Final compensation will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to your skills, experience, education, and/or certifications.
