Network Engineer

A leading global quantitative trading firm and market maker is seeking a Network Engineer to join their high-performance infrastructure team. Responsibilities: Support the design, implementation, and maintenance of the firms low-latency, high-availability trading network. Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues in real time to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Work closely with systems, trading, and operations teams to support end-to-end connectivity across trading venues and data centers. Contribute to automation, monitoring, and performance tuning initiatives across the network stack. Stay current with emerging technologies in networking and contribute to evaluations and upgrades of hardware and protocols. Requirements: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field. Hands-on experience with low-latency/high-frequency trading networks or other performance-sensitive environments. Strong understanding of Layer 2/3 networking, including protocols such as OSPF, BGP, IGMP, and PIM. Proficiency working with Arista, Cisco, and other major networking hardware. Familiarity with Linux/Unix systems and command-line tools. Scripting experience in Python or Bash for automation. Exposure to network observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack. Experience with cloud networking (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
