Junior Data Analyst Ninja Analytics

Work Location: Ashburn, VA - 2 days per week, remote/hybrid Security Clearance - Top Secret (TS) Description & Requirements

Ninja Analytics is looking for a Junior Data Analyst to join our team and contribute to the development of data-driven solutions that support critical national and homeland security efforts. In this role, you will assist in applying quantitative methods, machine learning techniques, and predictive models to address real-world challenges. You will support the team in working with large structured and unstructured datasets to help develop and improve models, tools, and applications that enhance decision-making processes. Key responsibilities will include tasks like data collection, mining, text analytics, clustering, pattern recognition, and automated classification. You'll also assist with entity resolution to improve risk assessment automation. The work we do has a direct impact on the safety and security of the United States, its citizens, visitors, and economy. We are looking for candidates with some experience working with data in fast-paced environments, ideally with exposure to decision support tools or applications. While prior experience with advanced machine learning models is a plus, the focus will be on learning and growing in a collaborative environment. Each day U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) oversees the massive flow of people, capital, and products that enter and depart the United States via air, land, sea, and cyberspace. The volume and complexity of both physical and virtual border crossings require the application of solutions to promote efficient trade and travel. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:

Perform exploratory data analysis using statistical techniques to identify significant trends, patterns, correlations, and anomalies. Independently identify solutions for assigned business problems, and routinely collaborate with Enterprise/Application architects, Database Architects, Data Scientists, and mission stakeholders. Extract, clean, and transform data associated within an identified problem space to help build predictive models as well as develop appropriate supporting documentation. Leverage knowledge of a variety of statistical and machine learning techniques learned within school. Execute projects including those intended to identify patterns and/or anomalies. Brief project management, technical design, and outcomes to both technical and non-technical audiences including senior stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle through written as well as virtual reporting. Minimum Qualifications

Education: HS Diploma/GED and 0-6 years or AS and 0-4 years or BS and 0-2 years Coursework related and/or prior internship related to data science/analytics Prior NTE experience, preferably with proficiency in operational data analysis. Knowledge of Python, R, Scala, or JavaScript Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Physical Science Engineering or a related field A passion for low-level / embedded data/science analytics Working knowledge or cloud computing/cloud storage Prior NTC experience, preferably with proficiency in operational data analysis. Clearance Requirements

Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) suitability prior to starting this position. Physical Requirements

Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time. Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel. Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer.
