Mace, as part of MPA delivery partner joint venture of Mace-Parsons-Arcadis, have been selected as the Gateway Development Commissions partners of choice to support the GDC across the Gateway Program in New Jersey, inclusive of the Hudson Tunnel Project. The busiest rail connection between New York, New Jersey, and the Northeast Corridor, the Hudson Tunnel Project will improve capacity, reliability, and resiliency of commuter and intercity rail transit serving 800,000 daily passengers from Washington, D.C. to New York and New England. A milestone project supported by the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), the project is slated to receive nearly $12 billion in federal funding, the largest investment in a mass transit project in modern history. For Our People to Excel. You'll be responsible for:
Develop and manage project budgets by preparing detailed cost estimates and conducting cost control reviews throughout the project lifecycle. Evaluate and track project change orders, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and budget constraints. Prepare regular financial reports, cost forecasts, and cash flow analyses to provide stakeholders with a clear view of financial performance and potential risks. Collaborate with procurement teams to assess contractor bids, validate cost proposals, and ensure alignment with project objectives. Conduct risk analysis and implement mitigation strategies to minimize cost overruns and ensure compliance with project timelines and budgets. Youll need to have:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related field; Masters degree preferred. Proven track record in cost management for large-scale transportation, tunneling, or heavy civil projects, ideally with experience in public infrastructure. Expertise in cost estimation, financial modeling, and budgeting software (e.g., Primavera, Excel). Related professional membership such as RICS or CCP valued. Familiarity with transit agencies (such as PANYNJ, NJT, MTA, LIRR, Amtrak). Experience in delivery in programs or portfolios of significant value >$1bn is a significant advantage. The estimated starting salary for this position is $140,000 $180,000. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
