170631 As a UX Writer & Content Designer I, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers, UI Designers, UX Researchers, Engineers, and Program Managers, to create and refine guidelines and rubrics tailored to different proficiency levels for German and Portuguese learners. You will evaluate learning content, provide insights to the User Experience team, and contribute to building a product that is both suitable and useful for language learners. This is a remote position requiring collaboration with teams based in Mountain View, CA. The assignment is temporary, running from September to December, with a minimum availability of 30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Help identify innovative UX solutions to routine user, product, and business problems while responding to evolving design constraints. Define quality rubrics for LLM-generated speaking, listening, and vocabulary content, as well as learning recommendations tailored to proficiency levels (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced). Create golden examples for learning scenarios tailored to different German and Portuguese learner proficiency levels. Evaluate LLM-generated learning content for quality and relevance. Test the product experience and provide actionable feedback and insights. Analyze user needs, pain points, and gaps in language comprehension to identify defined problems and solutions within strategic, product, or technological constraints. Leverage key data and metrics to evaluate product impact and gain a deep understanding of the product ecosystem, user trends, and industry standards (e.g., competitors).

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of professional experience teaching German and Portuguese to non-native speakers. Experience in designing learning content for German and Portuguese. Preferred qualifications include a degree in Language Teaching. Fluency in English for effective communication with the team in Mountain View, CA.

Pay Range

$40 - $50/hour on W2 The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
