Overview

Title:

Senior Manager, Corporate Relations Life Science Cares is seeking a Corporate Relations Manager to play a pivotal role in advancing Life Science Cares Boston’s mission by building and sustaining high-impact partnerships with companies across the life sciences sector. This individual will lead corporate fundraising and engagement efforts, focusing on both philanthropic investment and hands-on involvement in programs—particularly Project Onramp, which connects underrepresented college students with paid internships in the life sciences. This role sits within the Development team and collaborates with the Programs team to engage corporate partners holistically through sponsorship, volunteerism, and workforce development partnership strategies. The Corporate Relations Manager will oversee a portfolio of more than 100 corporate partners, raising over $800,000 annually through corporate contributions and securing 200 internships each year. The ideal candidate is a strategic relationship builder who thrives in a collaborative environment, brings strong project management skills, and is passionate about leveraging corporate philanthropy to drive equity and opportunity in the community. Responsibilities

Identify, cultivate, and manage relationships with corporate partners and prospects. Become the expert on each partner company and serve as their internal voice for Life Science Cares — understand their business goals, philanthropic priorities, and internal decision-makers. Know who to go to within each partner organization for Onramp placements, corporate sponsorships, and volunteer opportunities. Develop tailored partnership proposals and sponsorship packages aligned with organizational goals and partner interests including Project Onramp and volunteer programs. Secure corporate sponsorships for events, programs, and initiatives. Track and report on partnership performance, renewal timelines, and deliverables. Ownership of Project Onramp Partnerships

Serve as the primary point of contact for recruiting corporate participation in Project Onramp. Secure internship commitments for Pell-eligible undergraduate students and support host company onboarding in collaboration with the Programs team. Work with Programs to support participating companies throughout the internship cycle to ensure a high-quality experience for both hosts and students. Share success stories and outcomes to deepen corporate investment in workforce development. Research and identify new corporate funding opportunities and new Onramp prospects. Collaborate with leadership and program staff to align corporate support with organizational priorities. Represent the organization at networking events, industry meetings, and corporate partner engagements. Identify corporations interested in supporting Life Science Cares outside of corporate partnerships. Stewardship & Communications

Maintain consistent communication with corporate partners, ensuring fulfillment of recognition, reporting, and engagement benefits. Collaborate with marketing to provide partners with brand visibility, impact communications, and timely acknowledgments. Create stewardship reports and customized follow-ups to sustain long-term support. Event & Campaign Support

Manage corporate sponsorships and activation for key fundraising events including the Impact Breakfast and the Project Onramp Showcase. Support corporate volunteer engagement activities and employee giving campaigns. Lead on year-end campaigns and workplace giving initiatives. Qualifications and Experience

5+ years of experience in corporate fundraising, partnerships, business development, or a related field, with proven success in securing sponsorships and corporate contributions. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including effective presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities. Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative, team-oriented setting. Proficiency with CRM or donor management systems (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser’s Edge) as well as Microsoft Office Suite. Experience in nonprofit or mission-driven environments and familiarity with CSR and ESG trends. Willingness to travel locally and nationally as needed, and to participate in events outside of standard office hours. Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including sitting, standing, walking, bending, and occasionally lifting or carrying up to 10 pounds. Seniority level
