Director of Communications with Graphic Design Experience
The Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA) is seeking a
Director of Communications with graphic design experience . This position is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all association communications, marketing, public relations, and press materials across print, web, mobile, and digital platforms. The Director works closely with the Chief Executive Officer, Chief Operating Officer, legislative team, and staff to ensure consistent and professional communications.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement overall communication strategies to enhance the association’s reputation and visibility.
Manage proactive communication programs, internal and external messaging, and presentations.
Draft and distribute grant letters, press releases, and congratulatory letters for Osteopathic Medical School graduations and white coat ceremonies; create and maintain public relations packets and templates.
Maintain media and public relations, including social media, video, e-newsletters, and advertisements.
Plan and coordinate committee meetings.
Work closely with the legislative team to prepare legislative materials and events.
Journal (Printed & Online Magazine)
Collect articles, design layouts/graphics, and prepare photos for the Journal.
Review and proof all Journal content prior to publication.
Seminars, Conventions & CME Programs
Prepare and manage materials, such as print collateral and presentations for Convention, Seminar, and CME programs.
Produce and publish CME brochures and event programs.
Website, Social Media & e-Newsletters
Create and publish digital communications, including website content, weekly e-newsletters, and social media for FOMA & FSACOFP.
Design graphics for digital platforms, including but not limited to FOMA website & social, FSACOFP website & Social.
Collaborate with the legislative team on e-newsletters and with the membership department on promotions and updates.
Maintain and update websites via CMS; monitor and manage social media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Hootsuite).
Required Knowledge
Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Acrobat)
Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook)
Formatting documents and preparing files for commercial printers, including reviewing proofs
Windows 10 / PC
Preferred Knowledge
Certifier (not required but a plus)
Novi AMS (not required but a plus)
