Reporting to Global Head of Innovation & Marketing, the Technical Marketing Manager supports the American sales team with technical advice, joins customer meetings to generate new business and grow the market share in North America. The position acts as window-person between QC and Innovation Labs and Marketing to sales / customers in North America.

Reporting to Global Head of Innovation & Marketing, the Technical Marketing Manager supports the American sales team with technical advice, joins customer meetings to generate new business and grow the market share in North America. The position acts as window-person between QC and Innovation Labs and Marketing to sales / customers in North America.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support to the North American sales team to grow pigment business and expand market share.
- Set up customer-specific product specifications in alignment with the responsible QC and Product Manager, and manage batch/CoA selection accordingly.
- Maintain communication with Sales on technical issues, batch selection, PSS availability, and provide technical advice to support business growth.
- Train distributors, agents, the sales team, and customers on the company's global pigment offerings and latest innovations for all applications, both online and in-person as needed.
- Collaborate with customers and internal teams (Sales, Manufacturing, Quality Control, Regulatory, Purchasing, and Product Management) to deliver seamless communication and optimized service.
- Create customized technical and marketing presentations to align with customer needs and corporate objectives in consultation with the Global Head of Innovation & Marketing.
- Develop and implement strategies in collaboration with Sales and the Global Head of Innovation & Marketing to meet sales goals and strengthen customer relationships.
- Provide technical information and support to Marketing to assist in the development of new sales and marketing tools.
- Analyze technical customer requirements and provide customer-specific solutions, including product recommendations and formulation guidance across the full product portfolio, as well as replacements for discontinued or competitor products.
- Work with customer decision-makers to address technical inquiries, highlight product innovations, and deliver actionable solutions in collaboration with Sales and the Global Head of Innovation & Marketing.
- Monitor and report customer trends to the Global R&D, Innovation, and Marketing teams to support future product development.
- Stay informed on market trends, regulations, and technological advancements in pigments and related industries.
- Represent the company at industry events and conferences as needed, in consultation with the VP of Sales and the Global Head of Innovation & Marketing.
- Handle customer complaints and serve as a liaison for technical issues between customers, labs, plants, and internal contacts.
- Research new market trends and develop market penetration plans in partnership with the Global Head of Innovation & Marketing.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, chemistry, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of technical lab or support experience in pigments, coatings, or plastics.
- Deep understanding of pigment chemistry and technical customer requirements.
- Strong self-motivation, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with various departments and global teams.
- In-depth knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations, including ISO 9001 and 14001.
- Advanced technical aptitude and a strong grasp of customer application processes and technologies.
- Ability to travel across the East Coast and Midwest.
Salary Range
- Starting at $110k
