Position Title: Special Maintenance - Electrician
Location: Warehouse
Department: Building Personnel
Reports to: Director of Facilities
FLSA Class: Non-Exempt
FTE: 1.0
SUMMARY
This position performs electrical repairs throughout the district.
DUTIES
- Lighting repairs. Ballast, bulbs and upgrades
- Occupancy sensor repair and replacing
- Frequency drive trouble shooting and repairs
- Frequency drive installation
- High voltage trouble shooting
- Low voltage trouble shooting
- Electric motor replacement and wiring
- Fire alarm system trouble shooting and repairs
- Generator switch gear routine maintenance
- Location of underground utilities
- Trouble shooting of building automation systems
- Low voltage actuator replacement and repair
- Repairs and upgrades to building electrical distribution systems.
- Journeyman licensed electrician
- Ability to trouble shoot high and low voltage controls
- Experience with installing and repairing frequency drives
- Must be able to work off of lifts, ladders, scaffolding and confined spaces
- Be available for pager rotation
- The successful candidate must be organized and able to prioritize tasks to complete them in a timely and safe professional manner without damage to equipment and/or personal property
- Heavy equipment knowledge to help with utility repair projects
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to perform general building maintenance, includes the following:
- Cement finishing, carpentry skills, electrical and plumbing repairs
- Ability to read basic operating instructions and write reports
- Ability to cooperate with co-workers and supervisors
- Ability to work with the public in a positive manner
- Ability to work independently
- Must be able to work 2nd and 3rd shift as needed
- Must be available for snow removal 24/
- All other duties as assigned.
