Position Summary:

The Apprentice Facilities Electrician will support the installation, repair, and maintenance of electrical systems, devices, and equipment in the plant. This entry-level role is designed for individuals looking to build their skills and knowledge under the guidance of experienced electricians and maintenance professionals.

What you will Do:

• Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems, devices, and equipment.

• Learn and support basic building maintenance tasks, including plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and painting.

• Shadow experienced team members to gain hands-on training in troubleshooting and repair.

• Help conduct routine inspections of equipment and facilities; report any hazards or abnormalities.

• Maintain accurate logs of tasks completed and parts used.

• Support general facility upkeep, including grounds care, snow/ice removal, and minor building repairs.

• Ensure all work complies with safety, health, and environmental standards.

• Operate and care for tools, equipment, and materials used in daily work.

• Participate in emergency response situations under supervision.

• Perform other duties as assigned to support the Facilities team.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Interest in pursuing a career in electrical or maintenance trades.

• Basic mechanical or electrical knowledge ; willingness to learn required.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

• Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.

• Ability to work in a cold, wet, and fast-paced 24/7 plant environment.

• Physically able to lift/move up to 50 lbs and perform hands-on tasks.

• Basic computer skills for logging work and accessing training.

• High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or technical coursework a plus.
