Overview
Family Medicine Residency Clinic is seeking a dynamic Program Director/Academic Family Medicine Physician to lead our Family Medicine Residency Clinic. The role involves direct patient care (inpatient and outpatient), resident and medical student teaching, precepting and curriculum development, as well as administrative and scholarly activities. Administrative time is based on ACGME requirements. Night and weekend calls are required. We are a community-based program with 40+ years in operation and a 100% board pass rate for over 13 years. The PD will work with the CEO/Chief Medical Officer and clinic leadership to ensure program success and ACGME compliance in the evolving regulatory environment. Special consideration will be given to candidates with academic medicine, research, geriatrics, women’s health, hospitalist work, integrative medicine, care for the underserved, or Spanish language skills (beneficial but not required). Candidates must be Board Certified M.D. or D.O. with an active/in-progress Arizona license. Lead and oversee the Family Medicine Residency Clinic program with emphasis on the 7-7-7 community-based program. Provide direct patient care both inpatient and outpatient. Teach residents and medical students and participate in precepting and curriculum development. Engage in administrative and scholarly activities and coordinate with clinic leadership to ensure ACGME compliance. Collaborate with the CEO/CMO and leadership to drive program success and maintain high-quality, outcomes-driven care. Participate in on-call duties including night and weekend calls. Allocate administrative time per ACGME requirements. Qualifications
Board Certified M.D. or D.O. with an active/in-progress Arizona medical license. At least 3 years of documented educational and/or administrative experience; experience as Associate Director in a family medicine residency program is preferred. Commitment to serving the community and advancing academic medicine; interest in research, geriatrics, women’s health, hospitalist work, integrative medicine, or care for the underserved is a plus. Spanish-speaking skills are a benefit but not required. How to Apply
