Overview

KBR’s National Security Solutions team provides high-end engineering and advanced technology solutions to our customers in the intelligence and national security communities. In this position, your work will have a profound impact on protecting national security. You will join a systems engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting US Space Force (USSF) satellite communications and interface with SE&I teams, contractors, government civilians, and USSF members. You will lead and support working groups responsible for technical discussion, risk and requirement assessment, developing briefings, writing and tracking actions, and authoring meeting minutes. The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides SE&I for the Space Force’s Space Systems Center to acquire state-of-the-art satellite communications systems that provide global secure, survivable, and protected communications for warfighters. Key Responsibilities

Provide expert advice to the Government Program Manager and US Space Force leadership on acquisition strategies, contracting, budgeting, and program execution Provide expertise in software acquisition within the DoD, including classified ACAT-like space control systems Develop documentation to support Defense Acquisition Boards Develop and coordinate activities and documentation for source selections Demonstrate experience with Air Force contracting and Air Force financial management Serve as a team lead for acquisition and systems engineering professionals Support ongoing and emerging program acquisitions Provide schedule management expertise for DoD programs Act as a strategic problem solver to refine acquisition strategies Identify program execution issues and provide resolution recommendations Draft presentation materials, status briefings, and strategic communications Analyze program business cases and risk assessments Provide actionable recommendations to the Government Program Manager Develop/acquire acquisition planning briefs and documents (AoA, ASP, ASD, J&A, etc.) Develop/coordinate solicitation planning and execution documents (RFPs, SOWs, CD-RLs, Incentive Plans, etc.) Draft technical evaluations and advise on Source Selections Work Environment

Required:

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance Bachelor’s Degree in a related science field (e.g., systems engineering, software engineering) 12 years of applicable experience Strong organization with ability to handle competing priorities Excellent interpersonal, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills Ability to clearly articulate ideas, recommendations, and options to customers, senior leaders, and stakeholders Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Desired:

Understanding of Program Management of ACAT I–III programs Experience as an evaluator/advisor on at least one Source Selection Experience with Confluence and JIRA Certifications: DAWIA/APDP Program Management Level III, PMP, or PgMP Experience with MILSATCOM such as AEHF, EPS, WGS, or Tactical COMSATCOM Experience working with military or DoD civilian clients Compensation

Basic Compensation:

$162,000 - $190,000 in California The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities, and/or experience and internal parity. Ready to Make a Difference?
