Thyme Care
Director of Business Development & Operations
As Thyme Care scales, the Director of Business Development & Operations will be a foundational leader on a cross-functional innovation and execution engine focused on bringing high-priority ideas to life, from early concept through operational launch. This role reports to the VP of BD & Ops and will spearhead initiatives that enhance near-term contract success with partners and have the potential to become standalone revenue streams.
Overview Thyme Care is building a diverse team to transform the cancer care experience for patients, caregivers, and providers. The company aims to be a technology-driven, provider-centric care delivery model and seeks to redefine access, delivery, and experience in cancer care. The Director will translate strategic ideas into tangible impact for members and partners.
What you’ll do
Identify and evaluate opportunities that drive impact for Thyme Care's members and partners, including strategic partnerships and new builds. Work cross-functionally with product, clinical, growth, and finance to assess opportunities and recommend which to pursue.
Own the end-to-end build and execution of new initiatives—from validating market needs and building the business case to overseeing implementation and driving early results. Act as the de facto GM for early-stage efforts with accountability for short-term performance and long-term sustainability.
Build a repeatable launch function by developing tools and processes that help Thyme Care evaluate, pressure-test, and move quickly on new opportunities.
What you’ve done / Qualifications
7+ years of experience across healthcare strategy and operations, with a track record of building and scaling complex initiatives or business lines from the ground up.
Background in consulting, investing, or corporate strategy with deep healthcare operating experience.
History of building from scratch—owning large-scale initiatives from concept through launch, iteration, and scale.
Strong financial acumen, including building financial models, market entry analyses, and investment cases.
Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to distill complexity and engage C-suite executives and partners.
Comfort with ambiguity and a bias for action—ability to create clarity, momentum, and results without a playbook.
