Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and technically accomplished Director of Analytics & AI Enablement to lead the transformation of data and AI capabilities. This role will serve as a strategic bridge between data science, engineering, and business functions—driving the adoption of advanced analytics, operationalizing AI at scale, and enabling intelligent decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in AI enablement, LLMs, modern cloud platforms (MCPs), Snowflake, and Ask Sigma, and will be a proven leader in building scalable, secure, and high-performing analytics ecosystems. What You’ll Bring To Zelis: 10+ years of experience in analytics, data science, or AI roles, with 3+ years in a senior leadership capacity. Proven experience in AI enablement, including enterprise deployment of LLMs and generative AI solutions. Deep expertise in Snowflake, Ask Sigma, and MCPs (Azure, AWS, GCP). Strong understanding of LLM architectures, LangChain, RAG, and vector search. Experience with MLOps tools and model governance. Proficiency in Python, SQL, and cloud-native AI/ML services. Familiarity with data mesh, data fabric, and modern data architecture principles preferred. Background in regulated industries with experience in compliance and auditability preferred. Experience leading vendor evaluations and managing external partnerships for AI/analytics tooling preferred. Note:

AI Strategy & Enablement Architect and lead the AI enablement roadmap, including use case discovery, model development, deployment, and lifecycle management. Drive the integration of LLMs and generative AI into business processes, including RAG pipelines, chatbots, summarization engines, and intelligent agents. Define and implement frameworks for prompt engineering, fine-tuning, and model evaluation across business domains. Lead cross-functional AI working groups to ensure alignment on priorities, risks, and outcomes. Analytics Platform Ownership Own the end-to-end architecture of the analytics stack, including Snowflake, Ask Sigma, and semantic modeling layers. Design and govern scalable data models, access controls, and performance optimization strategies. Enable federated analytics and self-service capabilities through curated data products and reusable components. Technical Leadership & Engineering Partnership Collaborate with data engineering and cloud teams to build robust, scalable data pipelines on MCPs (Azure, AWS, GCP). Lead the design of feature stores, vector databases, and model registries to support real-time and batch AI workloads. Champion the adoption of MLOps practices, including CI/CD for ML, automated testing, monitoring, and retraining pipelines. Governance, Security & Compliance Define and enforce governance policies for responsible AI, including fairness, transparency, and explainability. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and internal audit requirements. Implement model risk management frameworks and ethical AI guidelines. Enablement & Culture Building Develop and lead enablement programs to upskill analysts, engineers, and business users on AI/ML tools and techniques. Foster a culture of experimentation, innovation, and data-driven decision-making. Build and mentor a high-performing team of analytics and AI professionals. Location & Workplace

We have offices in Atlanta GA, Boston MA, Morristown NJ, Plano TX, St. Louis MO, St. Petersburg FL, and Hyderabad, India. We foster a hybrid and remote-friendly culture, and all our employees’ work locations are based on the needs of the position and determined by the Leadership team. In-office work and activities, if applicable, vary based on the work and team objectives in accordance with Company policies. Base Salary Range

$169,000.00 - $225,000.00 Benefits & EEO
