Director, Business Delivery Product Lead

Responsibilities
Drive functional discussions with business stakeholders across topics (product model, rating, forms, underwriting rules, data and downstream requirements) to ensure business needs and requirements are clearly articulated, documented, and translated for SI partners and IT delivery teams.
Drive business readiness activities and discussions proactively with business stakeholders throughout implementation phases.
Collaborate with business analysts (SI partner and internal) to develop the product backlog and in sprint planning to ensure requirements and design align with business objectives and timelines.
Work with business, architects, and IT stakeholders to ensure functional requirements for inbound and outbound integrations with PolicyCenter are complete and accurate.
Identify and manage dependencies and inter-workstream impacts across departments and implementation activities to ensure a cohesive end-to-end solution.
Identify and evaluate program risks and issues, escalating and partnering to mitigate and develop contingency plans.
Communicate program objectives, progress updates, risk assessments, and issue resolutions effectively to stakeholders with transparency and alignment.
Qualifications
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in program management, with multiple large-scale Guidewire PolicyCenter implementations.
Strong experience in the P&C insurance domain, including policy lifecycle, underwriting, rating, forms, regulatory requirements, and underwriting processes.
Experience with the Guidewire InsuranceSuite and understanding of integrations and data needs between PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, and ClaimCenter.
Experience with portal and API development in support of policy administration systems.
Leadership experience in an Agile environment, including leading sprint planning, managing backlogs, and collaborating with multiple IT delivery teams.
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence).
Certifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; Master’s preferred.
Guidewire Certifications.
Program Management Professional (PgMP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Business Analyst Certifications.
Agile certifications (preferred).
Location Hybrid work arrangement based in any US Markel office, EST or CST working hours.

Compensation The base salary offered will be based on factors such as education, experience, location, and competencies. Salary range noted in the posting: $136,800 - $188,100 with a 45% bonus potential.
