Assist in the provision of high-quality care within the scope of service consistent with accepted standards of care for dental assistants Prepare each operatory and patient for treatment Takes and prepares radiographs using digital technology Provide active chairside assistance to the Dentist and anticipate the provider's needs At the conclusion of patient care, assist the patient, clear the work site, and prepare for the next patient Monitor the flow of laboratory cases Monitor and record sterilization cycles Maintain and inventory supplies Help manage patient flow in clinic Follow proper infection control protocols and participate in ongoing evaluation of Dental Program operations to ensure high-quality services and financial sustainability Performance expectations (All Dental Assistants)

Prepare and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment Prepare the operatory for the patient visit Seat patient in chair and explain procedures to be performed Collect and record patient health histories Drape patient with protective linens and set up instrument tray with instruments, suction, gauze, and other supplies Prepare dental materials (cements, amalgams, composites, impression materials, etc.) Take and prepare radiographs using conventional or digital technology with proper radiation safety Assist with dental charting as appropriate Education and Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

High School Diploma or GED CPR / BLS certification Radiology certificate (X-ray license) Registered Dental Assistant certificate Infection control course certificate Additional but not required: Coronal Polishing certificate Pit and Fissure Sealants certificate Fluent Spanish language skills is highly desired Covid-19 vaccine and booster is required for this position.
