Division Chief of Cardiology - Creighton/CHI Health. CHI Health Clinic and Creighton University School of Medicine are recruiting a Division Chief of Cardiology to expand our clinical enterprise, research, and educational activities in conjunction with our CHI Health Heart and Vascular Institute and the Department of Internal Medicine. We seek a Division Chief who demonstrates leadership, a commitment to innovative clinical practice growth, education and science, and the ability to lead a diverse group and collaborate with hospital partners. The ideal candidate will have MD or equivalent, strong leadership, administrative and organizational skills, and academic experience commensurate with Associate Professor or Professor at Creighton University School of Medicine. Responsibilities
Working in an academic and teaching environment educating Creighton University fellows, residents, and medical students. Conducting research in collaboration with faculty within CommonSpirit Health & Creighton University School of Medicine. Reporting to the Creighton Chair of Medicine for Academic Responsibility and the Physician Enterprise CMO for Academic Operations. Lead clinical programs within the CHI Health Heart & Vascular Institute and the Department of Internal Medicine. Collaborate with hospital partners and the cardiovascular medicine team to promote education, mentorship, and clinical practice growth. Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives; review and analyze clinical outcomes for continuous improvement; implement changes to enhance patient care and safety. Adhere to ethical and legal standards in medical practice; stay informed about healthcare regulations and compliance requirements; participate in quality audits. Stay abreast of medical advancements and best practices; participate in ongoing medical education and training; contribute to the development of clinical protocols and guidelines. Qualifications
American Board Certified or Board Eligible in the specified area of medical specialty. A valid and unrestricted state medical license or license-eligible. Clinical and leadership experience; academic activities commensurate with the rank of Associate Professor or Professor at Creighton University School of Medicine are preferred. Where You'll Work
