Overview
Position Title:
PRN VHC Health - Cardiac Vascular & Thoracic Surgeon The physician is a member of the healthcare team who collaborates with other staff to provide comprehensive healthcare services to patients. The physician's scope of practice is defined through the health system’s credentialing and privileging committee. The Physician supports objectives, budget, and performance metrics at the individual level and participates in quality control standards, risk management, and compliance programs. The role is to provide timely, high-quality clinical care to patients who choose VHC Health. Education:
Doctorate degree from an accredited medical school is required. Experience:
One year of medical/surgical experience is required. Certification/Licensure:
Licensed to Practice Medicine by the Virginia Department of Health Professions is required. Responsibilities
Provide quality clinical care in a timely manner to meet patient needs. Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver comprehensive cardiovascular, vascular, and thoracic surgery services. Support objectives, budget, and performance metrics at the individual level. Implement quality control standards, risk management, and compliance programs as part of daily practice. Requirements
Current medical license in Virginia or as required by law. Board certification or eligibility in a relevant surgical specialty, as applicable.
