The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at Indiana University School of Medicine is seeking a highly motivated and skilled
Postdoctoral Fellow
to join our research team. Our laboratory focuses on investigating the molecular mechanisms underlying liver fibrosis in chronic liver disease, utilizing advanced biochemical and molecular biology techniques.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct independent and collaborative research on molecular pathways involved in liver fibrosis.
Perform molecular and cellular biology experiments, including but not limited to:
Western blotting, PCR, qPCR, ELISA, immunoprecipitation, cell culture, and in vivo animal models.
Design, execute, and analyze biochemical assays to investigate signaling pathways and gene expression relevant to liver disease.
Maintain accurate and detailed research records, analyze data, and prepare findings for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
Present research findings at scientific meetings (if applicable).
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and trainees.
Supervise and mentor graduate students and research assistants as needed.
The search committee will begin evaluating applications as they are received and applications will continue to be reviewed until positions are filled.
