Position Summary ACCESS is seeking a visionary Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to serve as a strategic partner and catalyst for transformation. In this role, you will align financial strategy with organizational goals, utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making, and ensure sustainable growth while mitigating risk. Financial Planning & Strategy Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO and senior leadership, guiding and executing the organization’s financial vision and strategic plan. Develop financial strategies, forecasts, and budgets that align with ACCESS’s long-term objectives. Assess financial performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and implement strategies to achieve organizational goals. Lead the preparation of annual operating and capital budgets, collaborating with the CEO and leadership team. Evaluate and anticipate economic, social, and governmental influences, recommending proactive financial strategies. Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements, including balance sheets, statements of activities, and cash flow reports. Provide financial analysis and insights to support decision-making for the leadership team and Board of Directors. Perform cash flow forecasting and anticipate financial challenges to ensure sustainability. Collaborate with operations leaders (COO, CMO) to align productivity and financial metrics with organizational goals. Lead the development of short- and long-term financial goals and best practices in cost and productivity management. Identify, monitor, and mitigate financial, credit, and operational risks. Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with tax laws, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Oversee completion of audits, working with auditors and regulatory agencies to maintain integrity and transparency. Establish policies and procedures that safeguard financial assets and ensure organizational accountability and transparency. Capital & Treasury Management Manage capital structure, including debt, equity, and investment decisions, to optimize resource allocation. Oversee cash flow, liquidity, and investments in line with organizational priorities and the investment policy. Provide recommendations on capital investments, mergers, and acquisitions to support ACCESS’s growth strategy. Grants Fiscal Management Direct the fiscal management of grants, ensuring compliance with all funding and reporting requirements. Oversee annual financial and single audit reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Financial Presentation & Board Relations Build and maintain strong relationships with the Board of Directors and the Finance Committee. Present financial reports, forecasts, and strategic insights to the Board and other key stakeholders. Operational Leadership Oversee daily financial operations, including finance, revenue cycle, pharmacy, labs, and facilities. Implement efficient processes and systems to improve accuracy, productivity, and service delivery. Leadership & Team Development Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team by setting clear objectives and aligning their work with organizational goals. Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement. Provide coaching, feedback, and growth opportunities to ensure a high-performing team. Qualifications & Requirements

Education

: Master’s degree (MBA or MHA) with a concentration in finance or accounting required;

CPA designation preferred

. Experience

: Minimum of

15 years in healthcare finance

, including at least

10 years of progressive leadership experience

. Candidates should bring recent expertise equivalent to that of a Vice President of Finance or Controller in a mid-sized to large organization (100+ providers) or prior CFO experience in a small medical group. Technical Expertise

: Comprehensive knowledge of auditing, budgeting, capital reporting, cash management, cost accounting and reporting, decision support, financial planning and analysis, general ledger, and payroll. Financial Acumen

: Proven ability in ROI analysis, forecasting, cost-benefit analysis, accounting, and data-driven strategic decision-making. Leadership & Influence

: Strong record of executive-level collaboration, communication, and the ability to influence decision-making across diverse stakeholders. Technology Skills

: Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook). ACCESS is a Network of Federally Qualified Health Centers treating patients on the frontlines of community-based health care. Depending on positionapplied/being recruited for, candidates may be required to be vaccinated against communicable diseases and provide supporting documentation proving that they are properly vaccinated,or apply forreligious and/or medicalvaccination exemption as a part of theapplicationprocess. The pay ranges provided represent the minimum to mid-range for positions. Actual compensation will be determined based on a combination of factors including years of experience, educational background, market conditions, and available grant funding.
