Allegion is looking for a passionate Lead Front-End Developer

to work as part of a highly engaged small team in Colorado, within a global organization of 12,000+ employees, representing 30+ brands (including Schlage, Von Duprin and LCN) focused on safety, security and access management. You’ll work on solutions that will enable seamless access and help keep you and your loved ones safe and secure where they work, live and thrive.

What you’ll do:

Lead front-end/UX development efforts with a focus on React

Play a key role in creating, evolving, and implementing a

design system that ensures consistency, scalability, and high-quality user experiences across products

Define and enforce front-end coding standards, architecture guidelines, and UI/UX best practices

Leverage AI to accelerate frontend development, improve code quality, and automate testing.

Deliver a

fast, reliable, and continuously monitored

UI experience where performance is a product KPI and issues are caught early

Adopt

micro-frontend architecture , Standardize

shared utilities, hooks, and component patterns, and enable independent deployments for different product areas

Conduct code reviews to ensure high-quality, maintainable code

Partner with Product Managers and Designers to estimate and plan initiatives

Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation

Monitor project progress, identify risks, and propose solutions to meet deadlines

Analyze and define front-end software requirements and translate them into technical specifications

Propose and implement creative solutions to enhance user experience

Contribute to cost estimation and proposal processes for new and modified systems

Develop and maintain original front-end applications or integrate third-party solutions

What we’re looking for:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

10+ years of front-end development experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing contributions

Expert level experience with React and mobile frameworks (e.g., React Native, Flutter, or native mobile development)

Proven ability to integrate AI tooling into design and development workflows.

Strong understanding of front-end architecture, design patterns, and performance optimization

Passion for building high-quality, scalable, and user-friendly applications

Excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills

Familiarity with Agile-Scrum methodologies

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment practices

Team player with flexibility to adapt to evolving priorities

Compensation:

This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

The expected Base Salary Range: $149,650 - $198,650. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
