Director, Commercial Strategy and Activation Base pay range

$135,000.00/yr - $150,000.00/yr

Position Summary

The Director of Commercial Strategy and Activation will work alongside their manager to ensure outstanding Orion Select program activations. A successful candidate will have a solid background in client and partner negotiations, programmatic activations, and CTV planning.

Responsibilities

Responsible for working with Growth teams and Orion Strategic Business Development to package programmatic solutions for existing clients and new business

Contribute to Orion Select client pitching by delivering analysis comparing the existing investment/media plan to the Orion Select optimized media plan

Develop materials that customize the Orion Select approach to the individual client business strategy

Create Case Study materials

Contribute to the operational framework (client heatmap, intake form, tech matrix, and planning calculator)

Responsible for Strategy and Activation of Orion Select Campaigns: Delivering and aligning media plans across key stakeholders (e.g., Investment, Orion)

Campaign setup (e.g., targeting, audience strategies, PMPs)

Campaign optimizations utilizing the Orion value calculator

Post campaign reporting

Overseeing Activation for Orion Select campaigns that are activated through a 3rd party (e.g., Kinesso and managed services)

Contribute to the successful launch of client activations across multiple teams/accounts, including planning, campaign delivery, post campaign reporting, and case studies

Support Orion negotiation framework by delivering insights and requirements for Orion Select including volume, rate card, and activation

Support the ideation, evaluation and negotiation of product and commercial opportunities with tech and publisher partners to drive evolution of the Orion Select offering

Required Skills & Experience

Proven track-record of successfully seeking out and curating new business relationships and/or solutions; developing solutions using new or existing processes

Expert ability to assess and rank issues and tasks in order of importance for taking action

Support IPG relationships for clients across all lines of business

Expert knowledge of technology or measurement ad tech solutions, including platforms

Expertise in Data Analysis

Successful collaborator with the ability to create healthy collaborative environments

Expertise in Project and Account Management

Expert communicator – concise and clear communication in all forms; emails, presentations, reports, etc.

Advanced ability to anticipate, recognize and clearly define problems using various techniques to systematically analyze, weigh alternatives and propose solutions

Experience managing existing business relationships, partnerships, and alliances internally and externally

Desired Skills & Experience

Applies a solid foundation to varying situations

Applies advanced knowledge and perceives deviations from the normal pattern

Understanding of agency commercial models
