Dayforce-Hawaii-Associate-Hotel Purchasing [$17.00 - $22.50] Primary Responsibilities
Under general direction, review, negotiate, coordinate, and establish all contracts with hotels, restaurants, and other business partners. Organize rates and conditions, and submit to relevant departments and Japan offices. (業務概要 - ホテル、レストラン、その他のビジネスパートナーとの契約を、一般的な指示のもとでレビュー・交渉・調整・締結します。料金 や条件を整理し、関連部署および日本オフィスへ提出します。) 業務概要 - The following sections include responsibilities and time allocation in both English and Japanese, detailing essential functions and activities. 40% – Vendor Negotiations: Review, negotiate, and establish contracts for annual and seasonal current and future programs with hotels, restaurants, and all other business partners; update and manage contract information and tariff data in various systems and distribute data to relevant departments and JTB companies. 20% – Communication, Business Development: Communicate with other departments and create new workflows or procedures; establish and maintain viable communication networks and good relationships with business partners; create synergy with vendors and counterparts in Japan. 20% – Department Budget: Monitor room nights to ensure targets are on track and take necessary actions to reach them. 20% – Consultant: Consult planning staff to create better programs using product knowledge; compile data for research and update JTB Hawaii homepage and related systems. Secondary Functions: Other duties
Periodically meet with contract accounts to discuss rates, conditions, and problems; report issues to management. Periodically conduct site inspections, tastings, and FAM tours to maintain knowledge of supplier products. Assist other departments during peak periods as required. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
High school diploma. At least one (1) year travel industry or office experience. Able to professionally communicate and negotiate in English and Japanese, both written and verbal. Able to work independently or cooperatively with others in a professional and positive manner. Able to comprehend, analyze, and prepare contract documents. Knowledge of Hawaii’s tourism infrastructure and Japanese tour characteristics, culture, and customs. Working knowledge of basic computer systems and software (Office 365), basic office equipment, and basic mathematical skills. Valid Hawaii driver’s license and clean driving history preferred. Working Hours
Normal business hours: up to 40 hours per week, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm, Monday – Friday; weekends may be required as needed. Overtime may be required with prior management approval. Environmental Conditions
Subject to office environment with air conditioning and a large room; occasional travel to locations where weather conditions may vary. Physical Demands
Constant: sitting, walking, hearing, vision, eye-hand-foot coordination. Frequent: carrying less than 25 pounds. Occasional: pushing, pulling/lifting 25-50 pounds, carrying 25-50 pounds, standing, climbing stairs, bending, etc. Seldom: lifting more than 50 pounds. Mental Demands
Occasional basic mathematical skills; able to use a 10-key calculator. Follow instructions and established procedures; use judgment and solve complex problems; manage multiple tasks and deadlines with concentration and attention to detail. Communication Demands
