Scientist, Oligonucleotide Synthesis position in Waltham, MA. This role is with a prominent pharmaceutical client. Responsibilities
Independently plan, design, and execute synthetic biology experiments to construct and prepare high quality nucleic acid material for mRNA vaccine production. Participate in mRNA vaccine target development, DNA template production, QC, and data analysis. Qualifications
Must have oligonucleotide synthesis experience. Must have Ph.D. degree. Academic-only experience is acceptable. Experience with sequence design, gene assembly, NGS library prep, analysis, and process optimization. Hands-on molecular biology skills in oligo synthesizer, PCR, Gibson and Golden Gate Assembly, Illumina and nanopore NGS platforms, automated liquid handlers (e.g., Hamilton). Nucleic acid sequence analysis software experience (e.g., Geneious, SnapGene, Benchling). Analytical and molecular biology methods relevant to DNA work are a plus. Experience in programming (Python, SQL, R) is a plus. Details
Pay: 51.00/hr. No flexibility in pay. Length of Assignment: 1 year to start, with potential for extension or conversion. Manager is open to candidates willing to relocate at their own expense. Location: Waltham, MA.
