Overview

The Office of the District Attorney, Bronx County (“BXDA”) is charged with the twin goals of ensuring public safety and striving for equal justice for the over 1.4 million members of the Bronx County community. By “Pursuing Justice with Integrity,” the BXDA places a focus on assistance for crime victims while simultaneously ensuring fairness to defendants. Moreover, the BXDA aims to balance the need to seek appropriate punishment for certain crimes while recognizing when punitive measures do not adequately advance justice. By recognizing these significant distinctions and acting accordingly, BXDA has established a standard of excellence in the representation of the Bronx community at large, which continues to grow stronger every day. In furtherance of this mission, the BXDA seeks an experienced and enthusiastic IT Service Specialist 2 who will: Provide second level (L2) support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues for end-users. Collaborate closely with network, server, and security teams to troubleshoot IT infrastructure issues. Install and configure office workstation/VoIP phone for new users and move equipment to designated locations. Identify and mitigate potential security threats, including malware and phishing attacks. Install and maintain a comprehensive in-house application (e.g., Case management). Communicate effectively with end-users to ensure their IT needs are met. Manage asset inventory and maintain documentation for IT equipment. Assist with desktop/laptop imaging and deployment using Ivanti management. Install, configure, and update operating system (Windows 11), software applications, and security patches. Log, track, and document issues using in-house ticketing system. Troubleshoot VPN, remote desktop, and cloud-based services (M365). Liaise with application vendors and internal development teams to report and escalate issues and track their resolution. COMPUTER ASSOC (TECH SUPP) - 13611 Minimum Qualifications

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university and two years of satisfactory full-time experience in mainframe computer, mid-range computer, LAN or WAN computer environments and/or local desktop support; or An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college or university and three years of satisfactory, full-time experience as described in the previous item; or A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and four years of satisfactory, full-time experience as described above; or Education and/or experience equivalent to the above. Undergraduate college credit can be substituted for experience on the basis of 30 semester credits from an accredited college or university for six months of experience. However, all candidates must have at least a four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and two years of satisfactory full-time experience as described above. Preferred Skills

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, CompTIA A+) are beneficial. Proven experience in application support roles, preferably in a level 2 or level 3 support capacity. Familiarity with software application development, rollout, and data integration. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues. Experience in working with application vendors and internal development teams to escalate and resolve issues. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams and across different units. Detail-oriented mindset and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Public Service Loan Forgiveness
