Overview
Campland on the Bay and Mission Bay RV Resort are full-service, destination RV resorts located in the Pacific Beach neighborhood of San Diego. The properties collectively occupy 60 acres on Mission Bay. We seek an Accounting Manager for both locations, part of a larger company that owns and manages RV resorts, mobile home parks, marinas and food and beverage establishments in San Diego, Newport Beach and Sonoma. Reporting to the controller, the accounting manager oversees all accounting operations and ensures compliance with the Terra Vista Management Operations Manual.
This is a full-time (40 hours per week), on-site opportunity. Total compensation includes base salary, medical/dental/vision and life insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation, paid sick time, nine paid company holidays per year and two floating holidays per year. Responsibilities
Lead and supervise accounting department employees including adherence and enforcement of intra-department controls and department policies and procedures
Day-to-day oversight and administration of accounts payable, cash handling and special payments
Inventory audit and administration
Annual budget preparation and annual external audit
Expense oversight and reporting including variance analysis and approving unbudgeted expenses
Maintain accurate accounting in line with GAAP
Attend meetings
Qualifications
Requires: At least three years’ experience of general accounting in a full-time role
Requires: Expert Excel software user
Requires: At least two years of recent supervisory responsibilities in accounting
Desired: Previous accounting experience for hotels or large RV resorts
Desired: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
