PD Surgical Tech - Labor and Delivery - Days at UCI Health UCI Health is the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine. The Surgical Tech utilizes surgical techniques, working as part of the healthcare team to assist with direct patient care activities during medical procedures. Ensures the environment is safe, equipment is functioning properly and procedures are conducted in a way to maximize patient safety. Prepares and stocks the OR before and after surgery by gathering and organizing clean and sterile supplies. Sets sterile instrument fields; maintains and monitors aseptic techniques. Assists with the orientation of new staff and participates on departmental committees. What It Takes to be Successful
Required Qualifications:
Successful completion of an accredited course in surgical technology One year of demonstrated surgical technologist experience in Labor & Delivery Ability to work variable shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English, and understanding of medical terminology Preferred Qualifications:
Surgical Technician certification Licenses and Certifications
