The Director of Clinical Informatics is responsible for facilitation and leadership of Clinical Informatics by leading the implementation of, and providing ongoing support for corporate/division/facility-wide standardization, utilization, integration, and optimization activities related to the electronic health record and other clinically related technologies. Coordinate, execute, support, and complete project assessments, advancements, workflow mapping, tools, and resources focused on Clinical Informatics initiatives including provider order entry and documentation, standard clinical documentation, Promoting Interoperability, and other technology that supports clinician workflow. Participate in the company-wide community of Informatics by working with facility leadership and division peers to ensure clinical applications are well supported throughout the facility. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement new clinical systems or programs to enhance existing services and raise the standard of care for the patient population served. Work with members across disciplines to determine clinical workflow and dataflow analysis to support technology development and deployment throughout change implementation. Represent clinician interests in partnerships with clinical, operational, and IT colleagues to translate clinical needs into information system needs. Assist with the development and execution of education, training, and communication for clinical staff as it relates to technology and the EHR. Provide feedback to key stakeholders on initiatives and manage change management and ongoing operational processes around new technology or EHR projects. Collaborate with IT&S colleagues to ensure standardization and application of best practice models. Collaborate with Clinical Education personnel to ensure clinicians are trained on new technologies and updates, for both initial implementation and ongoing education. Provide support to Division VP of Clinical Informatics in the design, testing, education, implementation and evaluation of clinical information systems and the technology to support it. Resolve complex issues and requests escalated from clinicians, the service desk, or other division/facility resources. Maintain current understanding of regulatory standards and develop a compliance process using the information system where possible, as defined by TJC, Department of Health, CMS and other regulatory bodies. Assist with facilitating the development of systems that allow data to be analyzed, benchmarked and evaluated for effective outcomes, streamlined clinical processes and improved quality of care. Provide leadership and representation on facility and division-based committees. Track effectiveness and impact of new and upgraded technologies; monitor performance of information systems from a clinical perspective to recommend changes, upgrades, and new systems. Demonstrate ongoing commitment to self-guided learning of clinical informatics, performance improvement and clinical operations. Provide coordination across the facility to ensure federal and state program requirements for quality, safety, electronic health records and payment models. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree; Clinical - Required 3+ years of experience in an acute care setting – Required 1+ years of experience in leadership with oversight of clinical informatics initiatives – Preferred ANCC Nursing Informatics Certification - Preferred Benefits
