SPMF-Sutter Pacific Medical Foundation - South Position Overview
Provides a variety of routine and specialized clerical and administrative duties in support of an ancillary unit. Execute a variety of clerical duties, prioritizes information and requests in a timely manner. Gains confidence and cooperation from staff, physicians, and other healthcare providers. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety. May also be responsible for orienting new staff to the department/unit. We are seeking an Audiologist Resource Coordinator for a new Audiology and Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery program specializing in complex Otology and Neurotology. This non-clinical audiology role primarily involves adult patients with complex hearing, ear, and balance disorders. In collaboration with audiologists, support staff, and department management, this role is responsible for creating and maintaining hearing loss and hearing assistance resources while connecting with resources within Sutter audiology and the greater community. The individual will conduct hearing screenings, maintain and calibrate audiometric equipment, and prepare patients for auditory examinations conducted by audiologists. Additionally, they will provide hands-on assistance with hearing aids and support for hard-of-hearing patients. Qualifications
Education: HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience. An equivalent experience will be accepted in lieu of the required degree or diploma. Typical Experience: 2 or more years of experience working in/around medical services, with at least 1 year of experience working hands-on with hearing aids and hard-of-hearing patients. Skills and Knowledge: General knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment; outreach to new or existing community resources; specific knowledge related to hearing healthcare, hearing aids, and auditory rehabilitation; strong written and verbal communication skills; well-developed administrative, time management, and organizational skills; basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, EHR/EPIC, and related information systems; ability to interpret various data and instructions; ability to prioritize tasks and work independently or as part of a team; ability to identify, evaluate, and resolve standard problems; sound judgment and decision-making skills; ensure PHI privacy; ability to build collaborative relationships. This range has not been adjusted for any geographic differential applicable by area where the position may be filled. Compensation takes into account several factors including but not limited to a candidate’s experience, education, skills, licensure and certifications, department equity, training and organizational needs. Base pay is one piece of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible roles also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
