The Director of Distribution and Logistics will be responsible for day-to-day operations pertaining to the distribution and logistics environment for Tropical Smoothie Cafes. As the Director of Distribution and Logistics, you will be responsible for the 4PL program, inventory management, reporting and improving relevant KPI’s, and managing freight and distribution costs. Responsibilities

Oversee and manage all distribution and logistics operations for all Tropical Smoothie Cafes Manage and expand the 4PL program; unbundle costs by developing a comprehensive freight management program; oversee the transportation of goods from vendor-to-distributor-to-cafe Act as the key liaison between cafe field operations and national accounts team for distribution partners Analyze data and feedback to identify underperforming areas within the supply chain; develop strategic plans to improve productivity, quality, service and efficiency of operations Ensure core menu products/inventory are available in the right place, at the right time, in the right quantity Ensure that issues regarding new/existing products are resolved in a timely and cost-efficient manner Develop and report supply chain data to members of the leadership team; escalate and prevent root causes of supply challenges Set up new distributors in areas as the Tropical Smoothie brand expands; assist in setting up supply service for new or transferred cafes Interact with franchisees to ensure that all requirements are being met; provide best-in-class service Schedule routine visits to cafes to seek feedback for areas of improvement Partner with the IT Department to develop new tools to best implement our supply chain order process and procedures as well as inventory management Key Results Area

Must have at least 5+ years in foodservice distribution and logistics Educational Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field required Required Licenses, Certificates, Or Knowledge

Extensive understanding of supply chain operations within the foodservice environment is required In-depth knowledge of trucking/freight management Strong leadership skills are required to successfully manage business partners Ability to communicate effectively with all members of the organization In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations, general accounting practices/budgeting, and purchasing techniques Ability to ‘think big’ and work independently and proactively Exceptional problem resolution skills Corporate operations and or franchise operations experience preferred Working Conditions

Occasional travel for business partner and cafe visits Must be comfortable working in a fast paced and collaborative environment Safety Hazards Of The Job
