The Financial Planning & Analysis team provides senior management with analysis and insight into Mizuho America’s financial results, working with a variety of professionals across teams to create management information for senior executives about revenue performance, expense trends, resource consumption, and how these inform business strategy.
Responsibilities
Provide senior management with analysis and insight into Mizuho America\'s financial results. Collaborate with professionals across teams to create management information for senior executives describing revenue performance, expense trends, resource usage, and implications for business strategy. Deliver high-quality outputs within committed timeframes, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting for Board of Directors (BoD), Management Committee (MC), and FRB, as well as annual planning and forecasting. Prepare variance analyses and management presentations describing key insights. Participate in or conduct a wide range of financial analyses on critical and complex issues, including variance analysis, forecasts, and budgeting.
Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years in roles related to business planning, budgeting and/or financial analysis. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to interpret diverse financial information. Ability to multi-task and adapt to shifting priorities while delivering timely information to management and stakeholders. Strong understanding of multi-dimensional profitability (business, region, product, entities) and performance analyses. Proactive mindset and desire to contribute to business growth and transformation. Excellent oral and written communication, attention to detail, and intellectual curiosity. Ability to form presentation concepts from ongoing ideas generated through data analysis. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, and Dashboard (Power BI); familiarity with Hyperion Planning/Essbase is a plus.
Salary & Benefits
The expected base salary ranges from $91,000 - $150,000. Salary offers are based on factors including skills, training, experience, education, and applicable certifications. In addition to salary and a generous benefits package, candidates may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.

Mizuho has a hybrid working program with varying opportunities for remote work depending on role, department needs, and local laws/regulations. Some roles may require more in-office time; details will be communicated during recruitment.
