Serve as the primary legal advisor to the executive team, board of directors, and business leaders on a broad range of corporate, commercial, and compliance matters. Lead the negotiation, drafting, and review of complex SaaS, enterprise, dealership, OEM, and strategic partnership agreements. Support revenue growth by structuring dealership contracts, reseller and channel partnerships, integration agreements, and joint ventures in the automotive space. Provide counsel on privacy, data protection, and regulatory compliance (including U.S. and international frameworks such as GDPR, CCPA / CPRA, HIPAA, TCPA, CAN-SPAM). Oversee corporate governance, equity, and financing matters; collaborate with outside counsel as needed. Partner with Sales, Customer Success, and Product teams to enable scalable go-to-market contracting strategies while mitigating legal risk. Partner with People Operations on employment law matters including policy development, employee relations, and compliance. Guide risk management strategy, dispute resolution, and litigation management. Establish, streamline, and scale internal contracting and compliance processes across departments. Build and mentor a legal function over time as business needs evolve. Advise leadership on legal risks associated with new product launches, strategic initiatives, integrations with OEMs and third-party vendors, and international expansion. Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited law school; active license to practice in California (or ability to register as in-house counsel). 10+ years of broad legal experience, with at least 5 years in-house at a SaaS or technology company; experience in automotive SaaS or dealership partnerships strongly preferred. Demonstrated expertise negotiating high-value, enterprise-level SaaS and dealership agreements. Strong knowledge of privacy, cybersecurity, and communications compliance (GDPR, CCPA / CPRA, TCPA, CAN-SPAM, etc.). Experience managing corporate governance, financings, and board matters. Prior involvement in employment and labor law issues is a plus. Strong business acumen with the ability to balance risk and business objectives. Excellent communication and leadership skills; proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders. Experience managing outside counsel and legal budgets.
