Vice President, Life Sciences Intel Consultant

We are seeking a Vice President Life Sciences Intel Consultant to join our team in a high-visibility position that drives client engagement, retention, and impact. Overview The Life Sciences Solutions Consultant is a strategic leader responsible for driving client engagement, retention, and overall satisfaction. They serve as a subject matter expert (SME) in life sciences data, providing strategic guidance and actionable insights to address client-specific use cases. This role bridges data analytics and business decision-making to help pharmaceutical and life sciences organizations leverage data to drive patient-centric outcomes and operational efficiency. The leader will guide a team of Consultants and Analysts, establish the practice and processes for client engagement and collaboration, ensure successful delivery of projects, and foster strong client relationships while integrating insights into the client ecosystem to drive growth.
Key Responsibilities
Consulting and Use Case Development: Partner with clients to understand business challenges and design data-driven solutions aligned with specific use cases in the life sciences industry.
Provide expertise in applying life sciences data to inform decision-making across the product lifecycle.
Deliver tailored recommendations to optimize the integration of data insights into the client environment.
Partner with business development to secure new opportunities and expand existing relationships.
Serve as the primary client-facing partner and SME for priority accounts, ensuring alignment with client goals and expectations.
Drive client engagement through regular communication, relationship management, and strategic collaboration.
Accountable for project delivery quality, client Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and fostering long-term retention.
Data Analysis and Insight Generation: Perform in-depth data analysis to uncover actionable insights, trends, and opportunities within clinical, commercial, and operational datasets.
Interpret and communicate complex data findings to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment with business goals.
Collaborate with analytics teams to develop dashboards, reports, and tools that support ongoing data-driven decision-making.
Project Management & Delivery: Oversee the delivery of high-quality projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and client requirements are met.
Monitor client satisfaction and proactively address issues to maintain strong relationships and successful outcomes, including opportunities for continued partnerships.
Client Engagement & Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and consistent value delivery.
Develop and conduct workshops, training sessions, and presentations to empower clients in utilizing data and insights effectively.
Serve as a thought leader by staying up-to-date on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in life sciences data analytics.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with internal teams (data scientists, product managers, business development) to deliver comprehensive solutions and provide input on product development based on client feedback.
Act as a liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders to ensure alignment and successful project execution.
Team Leadership & Collaboration: Provide strategic direction and mentorship to direct reports to optimize performance and foster cross-functional collaboration.
Qualifications Education and Experience:
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university; Master’s degree a plus.
Field of study: Life Sciences, Data Analytics, Biostatistics, Healthcare Management, Business Administration, or related field.
10+ years of experience in life sciences consulting, data analytics, or similar roles.
Proven track record of managing client relationships and delivering successful outcomes in fast-paced environments.
Proven experience applying data insights to solve complex business challenges in life sciences or healthcare.
Proficiency in SQL, Python, R, or data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI) as required.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Experience in vendor negotiations and contract management is highly preferred.
Skills & Competencies: Deep understanding of life sciences data (patient journeys, market access, clinical workflows); strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and presentation abilities; ability to translate technical insights into business language; strategic thinking; collaborative leadership; ability to manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with CRM or healthcare data systems (e.g., IQVIA, Veeva); knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements in life sciences.
