St. Charles Health System Non-Invasive Cardiologist is responsible for providing Cardiology services in the inpatient and outpatient setting. This includes evaluation & management services, interpretation of cardiac diagnostic studies and performing transesophageal echocardiogram and cardioversion procedures. Noninvasive Cardiology will work in collaboration with other medical specialties to assess and manages patients following established standards and practices. Responsibilities

Clinical duties include examination, diagnosis, and treatment of cardiac disease; interpretation of echocardiograms, stress tests, electrocardiograms, and cardiac monitors; patient examinations and documentation; ordering and interpreting laboratory, imaging, and other diagnostic procedures. Utilize risk calculators and stay current with new studies, technology, and medications beneficial to patients. Develop diagnostic and therapeutic plans; administer and prescribe medications in compliance with state law and practice guidelines; perform appropriate medical procedures under state law and guidelines. Educate patients and families about medications, treatments, health maintenance, and prevention; maintain clear and concise patient records; triage telephone inquiries and provide clinical consultation as needed. Maintain professional growth through CME; keep licenses and certifications current; maintain active hospital privileges at St. Charles Health System. Work schedule

Full-time physician with 47 weeks of clinical work per year, with adjustments per policy. Duties include hospital rounding, scheduled clinic visits, and interpretation of cardiac diagnostic studies. Clinical documentation and other duties are required. Clinic and on-call structure

Hospital Service week: Monday–Friday with weekend hospital call; weekday rotation split among Non-Invasive Cardiologists by FTE. Clinic week: 4 days per week with a consistent day off; Bend outpatient clinic 8am–5pm (minimum 12 appointments daily); Outreach clinic in assigned area; on-site on-call coverage at Bend clinic (8am–5pm) for emergent patient needs in the Heart & Lung center, including Echo, Stress testing, and related services; provide hospital and unassigned echo, stress, and other cardiac diagnostic interpretation and ED triage. Call expectations

Non-invasive Cardiology call rotation shared among group based on FTE; may include Night call 5pm–7am and Weekend 24-hour coverage, distributed among physicians. Work location

Inpatient work location is St. Charles Bend Hospital; clinic in the Bend Heart & Lung Center with outreach clinic as agreed. Essential functions and duties

Examine, diagnose, and treat cardiac disease; interpret echocardiograms, stress tests, ECGs, and monitors; obtain and record medical history and findings. Order and interpret laboratory and imaging studies; apply risk assessment tools and stay informed on new technologies and treatments. Integrate data to determine diagnosis and treatment plan; prescribe medications per guidelines; perform relevant medical procedures; educate patients and families; maintain patient records; triage calls and communicate effectively with colleagues and patients. Maintain professional growth and comply with legal and regulatory requirements; participate in organization policy formation and keep credentials current. Administrative expectations

Document all patient care in the EMR; comply with policies for accurate billing; participate in meetings and CME to maintain board-certified status; maintain licenses, certifications, and privileges. Experience and education

Graduation from an accredited medical school; completion of an accredited Cardiology residency; board eligibility/certification in Cardiology; experience in hospital and outpatient cardiology settings. Licensure and certification

Oregon MD/DO license; board certification or eligibility in Cardiology with plan to achieve board certification within seven years if not certified at application; current ACLS; valid driver’s license; unrestricted DEA; ability to participate in Medicare/Medicaid. Seniority level
