Position Summary The Director of Clinical Learning, with direction of the Senior Director, is responsible for leading, developing, and managing the clinical education programs within the system. They will work closely with stakeholders including team members, educators, and leaders to ensure programs and courses are aligned with organizational goals and evidence-based practice. They will foster an environment of continuous learning and ensure that resources are effectively utilized to enhance the competency and performance of clinical staff. They will utilize the ANPD Scope and Standards of Practice and will align with all clinical disciplines. Responsibilities Develops, implements, and manages a comprehensive clinical competency assessment program to ensure meeting all accreditation requirements. Builds and maintains meaningful relationships with stakeholders to understand training and educational needs and gain buy-in for strategic plans. Lead and develop a high performing team, fostering collaboration, accountability, and professional growth to achieve organizational goals. Communicates program success metrics, feedback, and recommendations to stakeholders. Monitors the effectiveness of learning programs through feedback, assessment, and performance metrics, making data driven adjustments to improve outcomes. Assists system level leadership in planning, directing, organizing, and facilitating education across the system. Aligns educational development and delivery with system needs. Collaborates with site and regional educational leaders to assess learning needs across various sites/roles. Directs content creation that aligns with strategic imperatives. Aligns work and strategy at the system level, incorporating new regions and acquisitions to current processes. Mentors new educational leaders throughout the system. Ensures that educators across the system engage in ongoing professional development. Leads efforts to integrate current trends in healthcare education, technological advances, and patient care models into educational framework. Advocates for clinical education at the site and system level. Provides oversight of day-to-day operations. Manages various human resource functions including hiring, work assignments, coaching plans, and performance counseling Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Baptist Health policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards. Maintains compliance with all Baptist Health policies and procedures. Demonstrates knowledge of legal issues, patient rights, and compliance with the standards of regulatory and accrediting agencies. Mentors the professional development of team members. Maintains contacts with other organizations and associations for the purpose of keeping current in new developments in the education field. Qualifications Education/Training Graduate degree in nursing, education, health service administration, or health related field required. Licensure/Certification Valid RN licensure in the state of AL National specialty certification in area of practice, if applicable Experience 5 years of leadership experience required including 2 years of education experience required
