Position Summary:
The Surgical Technologist Lead provides assistance during surgical procedures, demonstrates knowledge of aseptic technique, equipment setup, sterile supplies, case pulling, and case breakdown. Maintains competency across service lines, and may rotate to other areas. Responsibilities include orienting onboarding new employees and overseeing shift operations with schedules and resource coordination. iCARE behavioral standards: Integrity, Compassion, Accountability, Respect, Excellence. Licensure/Certification/Registration:
Current BLS Certification; Registration as a Surgical Tech by Colorado Division of Registration (DORA); NBSTSA CST Certification. Education:
Graduation from an accredited Operating Room Technician program. Experience:
Two years of experience as a Surgical Technician. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Advanced scrub role knowledge, proficiency in multiple service lines, leadership ability, good judgment, organizational skills, professional communication, ability to handle medications under RN oversight, competence with patient care systems (e.g., Meditech, MS Office), and ability to educate staff using adult learning principles.
