Sigma Computing Inc., San Francisco, California, United States, 94199
Senior Product Manager, Advanced Analytics
About the Role:
Sigma is a next-generation business intelligence, data exploration, and application-building platform that enables decision makers to securely analyze billions of rows of live data at cloud scale. The product helps teams quickly answer questions to make and visualize data-driven decisions.
As the Product team grows, we’re looking to bring on a Senior PM to lead our Query Languages and Visualizations. Query Languages and Visualizations are a critical part of Sigma’s Enterprise strategy and our overall product vision, with executive-level exposure on Day 1. This role offers the opportunity to join a successful, rapidly scaling company on a pivotal team in the Product organization.
What You Will Be Doing:
Set the 12-18 month vision for Languages (Python and SQL) and Visualizations at Sigma, secure buy-in from the executive team, and champion the vision across the company
Develop end-to-end product strategy to achieve significant growth in the $30B Enterprise BI market
Develop a rich, reliable and actionable understanding of target user types by working directly with Sigma customers and incorporate that understanding into product experiences
Drive the product roadmap to deliver a world-class data modeling experience
Partner across all functions (Product, Design, Engineering, Analytics, Customer Success, Sales and Marketing) to deliver coordinated GTM efforts
Work with the team to iteratively define, build, test, and launch features
We’re Looking for Someone Who Has:
3-5 years of Product Management experience with a focus on data, analytics, business intelligence, and/or data science
Experience with data analysis libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Plotly/Matplotlib, Seaborn and data visualization libraries such as D3, Vega, Highcharts, etc.
Familiarity with Jupyter/Colab-style workflows: understands how analysts use cells, outputs, and visualizations. Basic knowledge of Python sandboxing (e.g., exec(), dependency isolation, timeouts).
Served as the face of a large project or initiative within their company. Ability to communicate to the broader organization, set a compelling vision, and articulate customer problems clearly
Demonstrated experience shipping customer-facing features and achieving target business objectives and metrics
A bias toward outcomes over outputs (driving meaningful business metrics rather than shipping numerous deliverables)
Experience collaborating with engineering and design; PMs at Sigma drive through influence, not authority
Experience working with notebook tools such as Jupyter, Google Colab, Hex, Databricks Notebooks, etc.
Compensation:
The base salary range for this position is $180k - $230k annually, plus competitive equity and benefits packages. Compensation may vary outside this range based on qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience. This role is eligible for stock options, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
About us:
Sigma is the only cloud analytics and business intelligence tool empowering business teams to explore data for themselves and make better, faster decisions. The software leverages cloud data warehouses to analyze billions of rows of data instantly via an intuitive, spreadsheet-like interface with no coding required.

Sigma announced a $200M Series D financing in May 2024 to continue transforming BI through AI infrastructure, data application development, enterprise-wide collaboration, and user adoption. Funding round details include leadership from Spark Capital and Avenir Growth Capital, with participation from Snowflake Ventures and Sutter Hill Ventures.
