Overview
Delphi Technology Solutions is currently hiring a Systems Administrator to add to our talented Network Services Team. This is a full-time, on-site role for a System Administrator located in Greater Boston.
Role Description The System Administrator will be responsible for maintaining, upgrading, and managing software, hardware, and networks. Day-to-day tasks will include monitoring system performance, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues, ensuring security through access controls, backups, and firewalls, and managing the configuration and operation of the operating systems. The System Administrator will collaborate with other IT professionals and communicate with stakeholders to ensure their technical needs are met.
Responsibilities
Maintain, upgrade, and manage software, hardware, and networks.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot technical issues.
Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
Manage configuration and operation of operating systems.
Collaborate with IT professionals and communicate with stakeholders to meet technical needs.
Qualifications
Two to five years experience in an IT role
Experience with Microsoft Server and desktop operating systems & software
Experience performing routine computer system maintenance (applying patches, updates, and upgrades) to provide a stable and secure environment
Experience with network administration, including configuring and troubleshooting routers, switches, and firewalls
Knowledge of security practices, including management of access controls
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to manage backups and disaster recovery plans
Preferences
BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cloud Computing or equivalent experience
Microsoft 365 administration experience and certifications
Skills in virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V
Cloud experience (Azure, AWS)
Certification in CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, or equivalent is a plus
Experience in working with police departments or municipalities is beneficial
