What You’ll Do
As a Data Architect for Slalom, design and deliver innovative solutions on AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform using core cloud data warehouse tools, distributed processing engines, event streaming platforms, and other modern data technologies.
Understand the client’s current environment and challenges, and partner with client and Slalom teams to design and evolve future state architectures.
Lead analysis, architecture, design, and development of the client’s next generation data platform solution.
Communicate design trade-offs and drive consensus within Slalom and client teams; break down complex tasks to ensure timely delivery.
Participate in pre-sales activities when time allows, helping define approaches to technical challenges and assisting with project scoping and planning.
Work in a hybrid environment with in-person collaboration as needed and be within commutable distance to a Slalom office location.
What You’ll Bring
Broad architecture experience with deep expertise in one or more data engineering technologies.
Curious mindset, client engagement focus, and a willingness to experiment with new approaches to meet data challenges.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills to convey design options and rationale.
Self-starter, able to break down large problems and share learnings with project teams and the Slalom Build community.
Experience with the data technologies listed below is preferred.
Big Data Platforms (Apache Spark, Presto, Amazon EMR)
Cloud Data Warehouses (Amazon Redshift, Snowflake, Google BigQuery)

Compensation And Benefits Slalom offers meaningful time off and holidays, parental leave, 401(k) with match, health/dental/vision coverage, adoption and fertility assistance, disability coverage, and wellness reimbursements. The salary range for this position is $125,500 to $172,000, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation depends on experience, location, and other factors. This range may change.
